So here we are at month 8 and our little Mason has just taken off, literally. This month's mobility is about a half scoot half crawl and we're working on standing up. Mason can hold himself up once placed in that position but hasn't figured out how to keep his feet flat. Additionally, we're starting to do some assisted walking by letting him hold our fingers while he attempts to walk.
This month was a complete blur. we continued to accomplish so much this month, as we're still shaking winter off, we've started to enjoy the nice days by taking walks and going around the neighborhood which Mason seems to enjoy. He is so curious this month. We realized that he notices new things and starts to point at it to touch it or try to grab it with his little finger. Time to wrap up all baby proofing.
We're in the middle of this transition with his eating. The doctor has recommended that we concentrate on making sure he's getting all the ounces from formula and not as much of the solids as with his new mobility we needed to ensure that he's compensating for all the burned calories. Mason lost a few pound this month due to him getting so mobile so quickly. His sleep took a hit because of this as well as just his growth and development in that he's more active and so is his mind.
We're starting to see a bigger personality out of this little man and our world is just changing by the minute. As time to continues to pass and we continue to adapt to this new life, we do less of some things and more of others, the way I see it is we're now growing into a new phase of our life and well, our old life is far behind.
Other notable things that happened this month include lowering his crib (makes it harder to put him to bed) and his growing object permanence.
